Rudy spent the last 20 years guiding multicultural efforts for some of the world’s leading marketers, including Shell Oil, McDonald’s, Nestlé, among others. He led many national and regional brands, including Denny’s which he took from discrimination lawsuits to #1 preferred casual dining restaurant among Latinos.
Rudy was instrumental in the repositioning of McDonald’s with the campaign, “We Love to See You Smile”, and has successfully launched over ten brands to the Hispanic market. He led a medical network of 20 clinics to nearly 100 by innovating their digital footprint, and led the creation of a medical online tool for lead generation.
As president of Pólvora Advertising, an agency recognized for its success reaching multicultural audiences, Rudy oversees the network of four offices – Los Angeles, Boston, Miami and Portland. Recently, he led his team to win the Disney, Partnership for a Healthier America and Vonage accounts, and his agency has been recognized with numerous accolades, like; Stevie Silver Award for Century 21’s – Best Website of the Year; ASTER Awards for Excellence in Medical Marketing; NAMIC – for Excellence in Multicultural Marketing; Media Maven for Best Multicultural Campaign; among others.
In his spare time, Rudy is Chairman of Advertising and PR Committee of Milagros para Niños, the Latino Advisory Council at Boston Children’s Hospital. He ran the 2014 Boston Marathon, but most recently spends his evenings and late nights entertaining his toddler baby boy, André.
